Working for the Daily Northwestern was an experience unique from my typical engineering work. The creative aspect of designing newspapers, magazines, graphics, and illustrations helped me grow as a designer and hone my own eye.

The consistent challenge presented at the Daily Northwestern was to create a graphic or page design around the story and images provided. With a deep understanding of the theme and subject of the story, and utilizing the creative process, pages always came together.
In addition to these daily deliverables, I was able to manage a team of approximately 15 designers each quarter and complete projects such as redesigning the print newspaper core design, adapting the design desk to work virtually, and creating a design guide for training and reference purposes.
